Music

Music is an integral part of our services at McCabe. Chancel Choir - Members include high school students through senior citizens who are a dedicated group of people who sing for the joy of it, and for the purpose of bringing God’s message to the people of the church.  September through May, the Chancel Choir practices on Wednesdays evenings, and they sing at the 10:00 a.m. Sunday service every week and at the 8:00 a.m. Sunday service the first Sunday of each month. 
 

 

McCabe Youth Choir - Any youth from grades 5 through 9 are invited to come and sing.  They rehearse on Sunday mornings September through May at 11:00 a.m.  This group sings at several services throughout the year. Gloria is the director of the Chancel Choir and the Youth Choir.

 

Small Ensembles - Musicians of all talents are encouraged to present solos or small group pieces for the 5:00 p.m. Saturday service, 8:00 a.m. Sunday service, and at any other services as needed.

Adult Handbells
A handbell choir developed for high school students and adults of all ages, male or female. NO music or handbell-ringing experience is required to be a part of this unique group.  Those who have musical abilities assist those who do not have musical abilities. The main goals of this group are to have fun, fellowship, and build our faith in Jesus Christ through ringing.

Rehearsals are Wednesdays evenings, mid-August through April or May. Rings of Glory share their talents in regular church services and special services throughout the church year.

Youth Hanbells
A handbell choir designed for 4th grade and higher. NO music or handbell-ringing experience is required. We will learn together. We ring to have fun and to the Glory of our Lord!

Rehearsals are after school onWednesdays, September through April or May.  This group also shares their talents during regular church services and special services throughout the church year.

Interpretive Worship Choir - This choir uses a form of liturgical dance to interpret songs, prayers, Bible verses, readings, etc.  They invite all students in grades 9 - 12 to become a part of this meaningful form of worship. Practice times TBA in the upcoming Newsletter.
